The Attractiveness and Usefulness of Skirts
Posted on 18. May, 2011 by admin.
Most women have worn skirts and dresses before. Most even know that they are very attractive pieces of clothing, and just draw men’s eyes to their legs. Skirts especially can be quite attractive and seductive. If that isn’t the aim that one is going for though, skirts also have many other benefits and uses besides making a women look pretty. Although many wouldn’t think of it, skirts can be very versatile. Given, skirts that specifically made for formal events and are made out of very expensive material are not as versatile. But, many others are. A typically skirt that is just about the knee line can also double as a top.
Some skirts can not be worn like this, but many can. Some skirts even have an option to make them even longer or shorter than knee length. These are very unique, because they can not only be worn as a skirt or top, but they can be worn as a dress. Skirts like these are very useful to keep around. They are great for packing in a day bag and just throwing on if it starts to get too hot. As a plus, these tend to be very attractive as well. Many skirts and dresses in that fashion come made in many different sizes and with many different designs and colors. Skirts and dresses are a great way to be cool, fashionable, and dainty.

Shopping on the Net
Posted on 15. Apr, 2011 by admin.
If shopping on the net for clothes, pay attention that you are purchasing from a secure site. Make sure that you can post the clothes back if you are unhappy with it. You are covered by laws in this field but you need to be aware that you collect all the businesses details should something go not to plan.
When you have the need to shop clothing online then there are many places available to you. There are actually hundreds of businesses all consigned to selling fashion items. Purchasing from a website usually means that the business has less costs and these savings can be given to the customer. Another plus side to the surfer is that there is a broader range of items to pick from. Bricks and Mortar businesses have a limited area in which to show their garments, online sites do not have this problem which means that they can offer a wider choice to the consumer.
When purchasing online you are not restricted by your whereabouts. Some people take advantage of the cheaper prices that are to be found in other countries. Thai fashion sites in particular seem to have more affordable prices. Take care that you need to factor in the cost of shipping to the complete price. Once you have paid for mailing, you may not have saved what you originally believed.
When shopping online you need to be conscious of the fact that the colour of the jumper you may be buying could not be the same as how it is displayed on a laptop. Some LCD screens tend to show colours a bit different to what the piece of clothing actually looks like in daylight. If this happens, be willing to mail the purchase back to the site if you discover the colours to be different.
A drawback to online clothing buying is the lack of ability to try items on. You may know your measurements but that may not mean that a top by Jack And Jones Online Shop will fit you. A lot of designer pieces especially are manufactured slightly smaller than conventional sizes, this means so unless you have previously bought a similar garment from said designer, you cannot be sure of a reasonable fit.

Street art
Posted on 28. Dec, 2010 by admin.
There are many of us that think of graffiti as something illegal, something dirty that ruins the way our streets look and that are little more than just vandalism. But if you think about it and look at our own history books, graffiti has been present ever since the dawn of mankind. Cave paintings made by pre-historic men are little more than graffiti. In fact, they’re actually cruder than the work of most talented graffiti artists out there.
It’s easy to imagine how, for someone who has been told all his or her life that graffiti is vandalism perpetrated by criminals or borderline criminal youth, it’s hard to look at wall art and consider it to be art. But the truth is, both in terms of acceptance by the art community and in terms of selling price, graffiti from accomplished and respected street artists are real art. In fact, Banksy prints, for example, sell incredibly well. Not only do the originals fetch phenomenal prices, the replicas sold on the internet and at art houses are a very popular item. Today’s youth has grown to be more receptive to graffiti and, fortunately for all present and aspiring graffiti artists, it’s starting to show.

Your Own Design
Posted on 03. Oct, 2010 by admin.
Do you like to design your own clothing? This is becoming more and more common these days as more people are wanting to dress differently and not follow the currents trends. If you sew you have an advantage but when it comes to printing something on fabric or on clothing you will need a certain type of machine. Silk screen t-shirt printing is not a new idea but it is not something that anyone can do in their home.
This requires printing machines and knowing how to work them. This is why people have set up a business to print for others. Companies will use this business to have custom shirts made with their work name or logo on them. Sports teams will also use this business for their jerseys and event promoters will order shirts for whatever event they are in charge of.
This business is not new but as our technology changes, there are more and more options open to those who print for a living. It is possible to order just one shirt or jacket so don’t think a common person cannot use this service. No order is too big or too small. You can click here and begin your online search for choosing and having our own design put onto a garment.

Ladies Fashion: What is in for 2010
Posted on 23. Mar, 2010 by admin.
What’s ‘in’ this year for ladies fashion? There’s been a subtle change in the colours – blue, green and purple seem to dominate the shelves, unlike the yellow of the last few years. You can still find yellow, but it’s not as prominent as before.
Just looking in the shops and online, the ladies fashion trends seem to be for gentle, feminine, floaty styles. Maxi or long dresses and skirts are very much in, which will be a relief to those of us way past our teens. The shorter styles are still there so no-one need feel short-changed (sorry!). Classic styles seem to be very much in vogue, which is good news, because these are timeless, never date and can be mixed and matched to make a different outfit for each occasion. They are also very suitable for formal and informal occasions and can be easily accessorised to suit the type of function. Jewellery and maybe light scarves can be added for a formal occasion.
One trend which will not suit everyone is a flashback to 1980s and 90s – think Madonna. It’s for underwear as outerwear. If you like it, go for it. However, I think this will be a trend more for younger women. Well some younger women anyway. I can think of some young ladies who would never be seen dead wearing this.!
Another trend is very much in keeping with blue being one of the favourite colours this summer and this is for denim. This does not only mean jeans, but jackets, coats, dresses, belts and handbags.
Looking through the catalogues, grey seems to be the new black. Light grey and dark grey seem to be more popular than black. Grey trousers and skirts can be teamed up with flowery tops to give a sumptuous summery look and creating the perfect capsule wardrobe.

Piercing Preparations
Posted on 15. Mar, 2010 by admin.
No matter what type of piercing you get – whether it is a facial piercing such as nose, ear, or lip, or a body piercing such as navel or nipple – there are several rules you should follow prior to getting your piercing done.
The main one is don’t drink alcohol before going to get pierced. Alcohol thins your blood and can result in excessive bleeding from the wound of your piercing. Also if you appear drunk any professional piercist will refuse work on you. So as tempting as it may be (even for dutch courage) avoid all alcohol consumption.
You also need to make sure you have thought your piercing through and it is definitely something you want. Never get a piercing just because you are copying someone else – it should be your own decision and something that you are sure about. Although piercings can be removed, sometimes they can leave small marks or scars on the body.
If you are unsure then you could always take a trip to a reputable piercing studio, they should be able to offer a free consultation and discuss with you what to expect on the day and the types of body jewellery available if you do go through with it. Good luck with your new piercing!

Men: Shopping For A Woman
Posted on 07. Jan, 2010 by admin.
Whether it’s the holidays, a birthday, or an anniversary, you will find that eventually you’ll have to shop for a special lady in your life. Whether it’s your mother, sister, or wife, you can always find a perfect gift without stressing about going into all those girly shops in the mall you hate searching for a gift. Here are some neutral gift ideas for women that are sure to be appreciated.
When it comes to women’s clothing, you don’t have to shop for lingerie, but instead go for a versatile accessory. For example, knowing her favorite color should be a given, so search for a scarf, pair of gloves, and/or hat in that scheme. These always come in handy for the colder months.
If you’re looking for something else, you can always try a pre made gift set of some sort, such as a variety of hand lotions or bath care products. These are useful and won’t be forgotten collecting dust on a shelf.
If you are the more sentimental type, try to put together something that means something to the both of you. Your favorite photos with her in a new album or set of picture frames.

Four Fashion Trends You Should Avoid
Posted on 06. Oct, 2009 by admin.
Trends come and go each year as different types and pieces of clothing become popular. These trends often change from season to season – which means that you should not spend the majority of your clothing budget on trends. Rather, spending the clothing budget on pieces of clothing that will become classic pieces and withstand from season to season is recommended.
If you must choose a trend, buy low cost items which can be integrated with the wardrobe, aside from this advice, here are four fashion trends that you should avoid.
Too much satin. Although satin is wonderful, it can often appear as too much of a good thing. You should avoid large amounts of satin and rather use small amounts in an outfit combined with other textures to get the full effects of this fashion trend.
Boyfriend Jeans. Boyfriend jeans are a trend that can be difficult for a lot of women to pull off as they can take away from the shape of the woman.
No Underwear. Although this may seem like the obvious, it seems that many are following this celebrity fashion trend which can cause a major fashion faux pas when it comes to trying to get out of a vehicle in mini!
Short Shorts and Tall Boots. You must have a very specific figure to pull this off – but you will still leave people wondering why you are trying to combine the looks of two seasons. Consider choosing one or the other or opting for mini to reduce the awkwardness which is caused by the outfit.
